Edith Zuckerman is the third person to witness the miracle at Zuckerman's farm. She is the second person to think that something is up with the spider only to be dismissed by Homer Zuckerman who says that it is just an ordinary gray spider. Unconvinced, she has to see the spider and the web for herself.
" 'Well, ' Said Mrs. Zuckerman, 'it seems to me you're a little off. It seems to me we have no ordinary spider.' " (White, 1952,p.80).
Wilber was very lucky that Charlotte’s Web fooled the Zuckermans. Edith is also the reason Wilber gets a buttermilk bath which helps him win an award at the fair.
